The SIU Writing Center is pleased to announce our Fall 2025 Creative Writing Contest. We're celebrating the your incredible imagination and exciting expressions.

Who can enter?

All undergraduate students are welcome to submit their writing.

What writings can I submit?

There are 4 categories for submissions:

• Fiction
• Non-fiction
• Poetry
• Hybrid Media (Creative works expressed beyond alphabetic text. These submissions should use multiple forms of media, including but not limited to image, sound, video, text, and/or hypertext.)

What can I win? 

Each category will have a 1st place winner and a runner-up.

• Runner-up prize: TBA
